Michael Masters, Cook County Homeland Security head, selected for federal task force

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The head of the Cook County Department of Homeland Security is taking on a new role fighting home grown terrorists.

Michael Masters has been selected to serve on the United States Department of Homeland Security's Foreign Fighter Task Force.

The group will come up with strategies to prevent Americans from joining terrorist networks overseas.
