OAK LAWN, Ill. (WLS) -- Dozens of Chicago police officers made a heartwarming gesture for a colleague's family.

They played the role of "dad" for the children of Officer Paul Nauden, who died of a heart attack while on duty back in 2011.

His colleagues showed up Wednesday to the last day of school at Southwest Chicago Christian School in Oak Lawn to cheer on Officer Nauden's two daughters.
