Crews unable to recover man's body in Kankakee River

WILMINGTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Search crews have not recovered the body of a man who drowned Friday night in the Kankakee in southwest suburban Wilmington.

Police say he and three others were wading in the Kankakee River when the current pulled the victim into the dam. Searchers spotted the man's body Friday night but could not reach it.

Police say he was not from the Wilmington area.
