FLOSSMOOR, Ill. (WLS) -- A daughter has been charged after she allegedly set fire to a Flossmoor house with her 90-year-old mother inside, police said.

Denise M. Tropp, 64, is charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated arson after the Nov. 7 fire at a house in the 2000-block of Hagen Lane in the south suburbs, officials said.

Police and fire officials responded to the fire at about 7:50 p.m. and found Troop outside the house on the street.

Officials said Tropp set the fire intentionally following a domestic dispute. The mother was transported to a local hospital.
