DePaul student attacked in Lincoln Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- DePaul University issued an alert after a female student was attacked in the 2200-block of North Racine near the Lincoln Park campus.

The offender grabbed the woman by her arm and slashed her shirt with a knife around 11:05 p.m. on Sunday. He then fled eastbound.

The victim was not hurt.

Campus officials are warning students to be aware of their surroundings and is asking anyone with information to call the 773-325-7777 or Chicago police at 911.
