Director Rosie Weaver retires after 34 years at ABC7

CHICAGO (WLS) -- After 34 years, this is Rosie Weaver's last broadcast as a full-time employee at WLS.

She's the one in the control room, making sure we all get on the air. And she has done it expertly since 1981, directing thousands of newscasts, as well as programs like the Oprah Winfrey Show and 32 New Year's Eve countdown broadcasts.

We don't know what Rosie will be doing this December 31, but we know our New Year's Eve and our work family won't be as lively without Rosie in the mix.
