KENOSHA, Wis. (WLS) -- Authorities have resumed their search for John Spoor, a 66-year-old missing boater from McHenry County who failed to come home from a fishing trip on Silver Lake, officials said.

Crews resumed the search Thursday, checking shoreline areas, using sonar as well as cadaver dogs, officials said. Kenosha County Sheriff's officials began searching Tuesday using a thermal imaging camera and found the man's boat, but there was no sign of the man.

The area was searched by crews all day Wednesday with a helicopter, but they were unable to locate anything below the surface or along the shoreline of the lake, officials said.
