Drive-by shooting: Boy, 14, injured in Chatham

CHICAGO -- A 14-year-old boy was wounded in a drive-by shooting early Friday in the Chatham neighborhood on the city's South Side.

The boy was outside about 1 a.m. in the 700 block of East 92nd Place when someone opened fire from a passing dark-colored SUV, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.

He was shot in the arm and hand and taken to Comer Children's Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, Greer said.
