CICERO, Ill. (WLS) -- Cicero Fire and Town officials are investigating a fire at a three-story building on the 5000-block of W. 30th Place that resulted in one fatality.

The fire began early Friday morning, around 1:30 a.m., and was extinguished quickly by Cicero firefighters. Officials said a 23-year-old man, whose identity has not been released, was killed in the fire.

Cicero fire investigators said they are almost certain the fire was accidental, but the exact cause is still under investigation. Officials also said the property appeared overcrowded, and the first floor unit was divided into three apartments.
