The Chicago Fire Department honored two fallen firefighters Saturday, ensuring their service to the city will never be forgotten.

Commissioner Jose Santiago unveiled badges for Patrick Hannon and Walter Patmon on the "Walls of Fallen Heroes" at the Chicago Fire Academy on the city's West Side.

Hannon was found unresponsive at his fire station back in January 2011 and died a short time later. Patmon died in 2012 after suffering a heart attack.

Relatives of both men attended the ceremony.

There was also a dedication at the Firefighter Memorial Park near McCormick Place.
