Former Libertyville basketball star dies after fall at Univ. of Missouri

COLUMBIA, Mo. (WLS) -- A former local basketball star is dead after a fall while away at college.

Nineteen-year-old Jack Lipp played basketball and golf at Libertyville High School, and was a student at the University of Missouri in Columbia.

The Maneater, a student-run paper, reported that Lipp fell two stories during a party on December 13.

He had been in the hospital since and died on Thursday.
