Funeral held for man struck by car at hot dog stand

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Family and friends gathered Saturday for the funeral of a South Side man killed just blocks away from his home.

The service for 24-year-old Eddie Fuentes was held at Saint Gall Church near 55th and Kedzie.

Last Sunday, Fuentes was waiting at a hot dog stand at 53rd and Western when police say a driver ran him down.

Jason Rayford is charged with reckless homicide. Investigators say Rayford punched his wife while she was driving and caused her to lose control and crash into Fuentes.
