OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (WLS) -- Gas prices are down across the United States, with some areas seeing prices below $2 per gallon for the first time in years.
Oklahoma City is the first U.S. market to see prices below the $2 mark, but Gasbuddy.com projects that seven states in the south and southwest will be below $2 per gallon by the end of 2014.
Prices are expected to drop by about $0.15 nationwide in the next month.
Gas is still $2.93 per gallon on average in the Chicago area, about $0.20 above the national average.
