Girl, 15, shot while walking in Gage Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 15-year-old girl was shot in Chicago's Gage Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.

Police said the teen was walking in the 5100-block of South Homan Avenue around 10 p.m. Monday when she heard gunfire and realized she had been shot in the shoulder.

She was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital. She is expected to be OK.

There is no word on whether the teen was the intended target. The shooting remains under investigation.
