CHICAGO (WLS) -- Samiah Lomax, 5, was reunited with her grandmother early Monday morning after she was taken from her University Park home.

"I'm just glad everything is OK. I'm glad my granddaughter is back. That's all," Selena Johnson said. She has full custody of her granddaughter.

Police issued an Amber Alert for Samiah after she was taken from Johnson's home late Sunday night. Police said the girl's 24-year-old mother, Serena Johnson, and another personn broke into the house and took Samiah after a confrontation.

The Amber Alert was canceled around 5 a.m. Monday when the girl was found at a house on the city's South Side. She was unharmed, and her mother was arrested.

"Through cell phones and other things, we started tracking people, what they were doing. And that led us to that address," University Park Police Chief Ed Bradley said.

Police are also looking at whether the girls' uncle, 25-year-old Andrew Johnson, was involved in the kidnapping.
