Two people were injured by flying glass after someone opened fire on a van they were sitting in on Chicago's West Side.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were injured by flying glass on Chicago's West Side after someone opened fire on a minivan they were sitting in overnight.

Marion Lewis, a witness, told ABC7 Eyewitness News he saw a gunman spray the brown van with bullets near North Kedzie Avenue and West Ohio Street around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

"They were coming across the street. You could see bullets ricochet off the car," Lewis said.

A 25-year-old woman and another victim were cut by shattered glass. They managed to get themselves to Norwegian American Hospital, where they were both listed in good condition.

Police originally reported the woman had been grazed by a bullet in the 500-block of North Kedzie. Investigators said she is not cooperating.

Investigators are working to determine who shot at them and why. No one is in custody.
