Handgun, Taser, rifle stolen from police car in Indiana

VALPARAISO, Ind. (WLS) -- A handgun, Taser and rifle were stolen from a Porter County Sheriff officer's squad car in Valparaiso, police said.

Police were called Tuesday for two thefts in the Shamrock subdivision, one of which was from the officer's car, officials said. A stereo face plate was taken from a second car, police said.

Valparaiso police and the Porter County Sheriff's office are investigating.
