Home invasion reported in unincorporated Darien

UNINCORPORATED DARIEN, Ill. (WLS) -- A man distracted a southwest suburban homeowner by taking him outside while two others entered his residence and began going through it, authorities said.

The DuPage County Sheriff's Office said in a press release that the home invasion occurred in the area of Concord Place and Nantucket in unincorporated Darien around 2 p.m. Friday.

Authorities have only a vague description of the three suspects, but said one of them spoke with an Eastern European accent. They left the area in a black SUV.
