Homeowners file lawsuit, NTSB releases report after plane crash near Midway

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The National Transportation Safety Board has released a preliminary report into the deadly plane crash near Midway Airport last week.

The report lays out, in detail, the timeline of events before the small cargo plane crashed into a home in the 6500-block of South Knox.

However, the report does not speculate on the cause of the crash.

The pilot was killed in the incident, and a couple inside the home was not injured.

However, attorneys for the couple filed a negligence lawsuit against the company that owned the plane Tuesday, claiming that they are suffering from emotional trauma.
