Lombard gas leak prompts temporary street closures

LOMBARD, Ill. (WLS) -- The 2100-block of South Finley Road in west suburban Lombard, Ill., is temporarily closed as Nicor gas crews work to repair a gas leak.

Lombard fire officials said the fire department was called to that location shortly before noon Thursday for reports of a gas leak.

Nicor remains on the scene and the area is inaccessible during their repairs. The Lombard Fire Department said they anticipate that closure to remain for about two more hours, until around 6 p.m.
