Man, 58, fatally shot while eating dinner in Archer Heights home

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 58-year-old man was fatally shot Saturday night while eating dinner at his kitchen table in the Archer Heights neighborhood on the city's Southwest Side, police said.

The man was identified as Andres Rivera, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

No one was in custody Sunday morning.

The man was struck in the face at about 8 p.m.. The bullet shattered the glass on the front door in the 5200-block of South Kolin Avenue.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim has not yet been identified.
