HOUSTON -- Accused killer Danny Neelys allegedly murdered his brother-in-law and nephew, but they weren't his original targets.

Neelys, 39, is charged with capital murder. He was arrested in Mexico earlier this week and arrived back in southeast Houston for processing. He was supposed to be in probable cause court after being on the run for days.

He is a suspect in the murders of two people -- one identified as his brother in-law and the other, his nephew.

According to officials, a father and his son were found dead in the 12000 block of Atwood Grove Lane in the Northwest Park Colony subdivision Saturday.

Police say Neelys forced his way into the victims' home at gunpoint looking for his estranged wife. When he didn't find her, he shot and killed 15-year-old Keidric Jelks Jr., and his father, 42-year-old Keidric Jelks Sr.

Neelys allegedly then sexually assaulted his brother-in-law's wife. He is now charged with two counts of capital murder.

Neelys was found in the parking lot of a fast food restaurant in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, by Mexican federal agents around 10:44 a.m. Monday. Now he sits in Houston, in the custody of the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
