CHICAGO (WLS) -- William Martin, 37, has been charged with reckless discharge of a firearm after an 8-year-old boy was shot in the face when a gun went off during a family struggle, police said.
Martin was arrested and charged after the incident, which occurred near 77th and Loomis on Thursday, officials said. Two of the boy's older male relatives were involved in a domestic dispute that resulted in the accidental discharge that grazed the boy's face, police said.
The boy is in good condition at Mt. Sinai Hospital, officials said.
