Man charged in East Garfield Park fatal shooting

CHICAGO (WLS) -- William Gardner, 31, has been arrested in the shooting death of a man earlier this year, police said.

Investigators say Gardner shot the 46-year-old victim back in May near the 3300-block of West Maypole in Chicago's East Garfield Park community.

A 17-year-old boy was also shot but survived.

Gardner is due in bond court Saturday.
