Dennis Ray Jackson faces aggravated DUI charge after South Side crash

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Dennis Ray Jackson has been charged with aggravated DUI in connection with a crash that occurred in the city's South Side, police said.

Jackson's vehicle allegedly hit another vehicle while traveling at a high rate of speed near 71st Street and Calumet Avenue around 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, officials said, also failing to stop at two stop signs. Jackson allegedly attempted to flee the scene but was quickly caught, police said.

Three other people were injured in the incident. Jackson is expected in bond court Thursday.
