Man critically injured in Gresham shooting
A man is in critical condition after being shot in the mouth in Gresham early Sunday morning, Chicago police say.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say a 57-year-old man was critically injured after being shot during a robbery in the Gresham neighborhood early Sunday morning.

Police say the shooting took place around 5 a.m. in the 7900-block of South Ashland. The man was transported to Christ Hospital in critical condition.

The shooting happened outside, but police are unsure if the victim lived nearby. No one is in custody. Police are investigating.
