Man in custody after allegedly throwing boxes from train car in Back of the Yards

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 50-year-old man was taken into custody in Chicago's Back of the Yards neighborhood after police received a call reporting a suspicious person throwing boxes from a rail car.

Chicago police responded to the call around 6 a.m. in the 4700-block of South Hoyne Avenue in the city's Back of the Yards neighborhood.

Officers spotted a man fitting the caller's description when they arrived. He attempted to run. But police said after a short foot chase, he was arrested.

Police have not filed any charges.
