Man tries to lure children into van in Forest Glen

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man tried to lure a group of children into a van in Chicago's Forest Glen neighborhood, police said.

The children told police the man pulled up to them around 4:15 p.m. Monday in the 5800-block of North Kostner Avenue on the Northwest Side.

When he told them to get in the vehicle, which is described as a white work van with a colorful logo on the side, they refused and rode away on bikes.

The suspect is described as a white man with a long dark beard.
