CHICAGO (WLS) -- A manhunt is underway in southwest suburban Oak Forest for armed robbery suspects.

Police said the men fled after robbing a cell phone store in Bolingbrook, and the search has now spread to Oak Forest.

Police locked down part of 159th Street through Oak Forest for hours. Behind police lines investigators said they were searching for a robbery suspect.

The incident began at a Verizon store more than 30 miles away on Weber Road in Bolingbrook. Police said around 5:30 p.m. at least three armed thieves ran into the store and stole phones and other property at gunpoint.

From there, Bolingbrook police said the three offenders took off in two cars. Illinois State Troopers spotted one of the cars near Oak Forest Medical Center and quickly surrounded the area for a search.

Police said two offenders have been taken into custody, one by Bolingbrook police and the other by Illinois State Police, nearly immediately following the incident.

Police are still searching for two to three more suspects, but have ended the search for the night.
