CHICAGO (WLS) -- Anton Aseves, 22, and Alger Sanchez, 19, charged in the shooting of 3-year-old Jason Ares, are due in bond court on Monday.

Aseves and Sanchez are both charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery and discharge of a firearm.

The young boy was seriously injured when stray bullets struck him in the stomach and hip around 10 p.m. Friday in the 4400-block of South Sacramento in Chicago's Brighton Park neighborhood.

Ares is recovering at Mount Sinai Hospital.
