More cars damaged by BB guns in Arlington Heights

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- Vandals strike again in Arlington Heights apparently damaging cars by shooting at them with a BB gun, police said.

The latest incident occurred in the 4000-block of North Highland Avenue sometime between 11:30 p.m. Tuesday and 10 a.m. Wednesday, police said. An SUV was damaged on the driver's side and a sedan had its rear window and rear passenger door dented by BB pellets, police said.

The damage was estimated at $1,000, police said.

There have been at least 28 incidents of damage to cars and homes have been reported to police. Surveillance video showed someone firing a BB gun from inside a car in one of the incidents, police said.
