CHICAGO (WLS) -- What's the path to growth and success for Illinois' Latino community? Some say it's by developing a new generation of leaders. With that in mind, the Illinois Legislative Latino Caucus Foundation was formed in 2002.

Twelve years later, the group is getting ready for its annual conference on Friday in Rosemont. There will be discussions on topics such as education, immigration policy and housing.

Joining us this week to talk about the conference, the issues important to Illinois' Latino community and goals for this year's event are State Senator Iris Martinez and State Representative Cynthia Soto.
