Niles gun shop, range approved by board of trustees

NILES, Ill. (WLS) -- A controversial plan to build a gun range was approved Tuesday night by the board of trustees in northwest suburban Niles.

It will be located in an industrial area near three schools. The complex would include the gun range, a gun shop and safety training facility.

As for the safety concerns, one of the co-owners said those were all vetted through the plan commission.
