Niles gun shop, shooting range under consideration - again

NILES, Ill. (WLS) -- Officials in north suburban Niles are taking a second look at a proposal to build a shooting range and gun shop in the 6100-block of Howard Street.

The Sportsman's Club and Firearms Training Academy would be located in an industrial area, but some residents are concerned three schools are located nearby.

At a public hearing last month, the village board asked planning commissioners to consider those concerns.
