CHICAGO (WLS) -- A couple dozen workers from O'Hare International Airport rallied downtown on Monday, pushing for better wages and working conditions.

The contracted workers held their rally outside of United Airlines headquarters.

The group chose to rally on Martin Luther King Day to emphasize a call for change.

In a statement, the airline said: "The SEIU does not represent any United Airlines employees. We have not experienced any disruptions to our operation in Chicago due to union activity, and we have contingency plans in place to mitigate any potential inconvenience to our customers. We require our suppliers to comply with all local, state and federal wage requirements."
