Only a fraction of Chicago red-light ticket fines will be refunded

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thousands of people will be stuck paying red-light camera tickets in Chicago even after contesting their tickets, saying they were wrongly fined.

The city hired an independent third party to look at the thousands of tickets at intersections where spikes in fines were seen.

After those reviews, only 126 drivers will get refunds on the $100 fines.
