Pedestrian dead after being struck by 4 cars in I-495 hit-and-run

EDGEMOOR, Del. -- Delaware State Police say a pedestrian is dead after being struck by four different hit-and-run vehicles on I-495.
It happened around 8:00 p.m. Thursday in the northbound lanes near Edgemoor Road.
Police say the victim was struck by four cars - none of which stopped at the scene.
No word on a description of the striking vehicles.
Delaware State Police say the medical examiner will attempt to determine the identity of the victim. Once that is done next of kin can be notified.
The investigation is ongoing.
