Person found shot in head inside Chicago Heights home

CHICAGO HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- Police found a person shot in the head in a home in far south suburban Chicago Heights overnight.

Officers responded to a report of a "young man" shot inside a house in the 500-block of Concord Drive around 12:45 a.m. Monday. They found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.

The victim was rushed to St. James Hospital in Olympia Fields in critical condition. Authorities have not released the age of the victim.

Chicago Heights police said they have two people in custody.

The shooting is under investigation.
