Police: 2 12-year-old boys robbed in LaGrange

LA GRANGE, Ill. (WLS) -- La Grange police say two 12-year-old boys were robbed by two teenagers on Tuesday.

Police say the two boys were walking on Ashland Avenue near Cossitt Avenue around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday when two teens standing by a bike rack approached them. Thee teens asked what they had in their pockets, police said, and then demanded them. One victim handed over his iPhone 6, at which point the robbers left. No weapons were used or displayed.

Police describe the robber suspects as two males 16-18 years old, both between 5 ft. 8 in. and 6 ft. tall and with short hair. The first suspect had a slim build and was wearing a white t-shirt, grey sweatpants and black Nike gym shoes, police said. The second suspect had an athletic build and was wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts and black athletic shoes, police said.
