Police: Elderly man with Alzheimer's missing from Far South Side

CHICAGO -- An elderly man in the early stages of Alzheimer's disease has been reported missing from his home on the Far South Side.

George Davis, 75, was last seen about noon on Aug. 25 leaving his home near 110th Place and State, according to a missing person alert issued by Chicago Police. Davis was driving a beige 2000 Chevrolet Trailblazer with Illinois license plate number 5443222.

Davis was described as a black man, standing 5-foot-3 and weighing 110 pounds, police said. He has brown eyes, salt and pepper hair and a medium complexion.

Davis is frequently in the area near 79th and Coles and 75th and Stony Island, police said.
