Police: Man, 23, shot and killed at West Side library

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say a 23-year-old man was shot and killed near the Chicago Public Library Richard M Daley-West Humboldt Branch in the 700-block of North Kedzie Monday afternoon.

Police are investigating the shooting. The library is closed for the rest of Monday, and may be closed tomorrow as the parking lot is taped off as Chicago police consider it a crime scene.

No one inside the library was injured.
