Police search for driver in fatal hit-and-run in Norridge

NORRIDGE, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are searching for the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run in Norridge.

Tomasz W. Radke, 35, was fatally struck by a dark-colored car while crossing the street in the 7800-block of W. Lawrence around 11:16 p.m. Saturday. Police said the car did not stop after the incident and continued eastbound.

A friend of the victim said they were at his home having a barbecue shortly before the crash.

"Yea it was a shocker - he just left and nobody has seen him since," said Karol Malinowski.

Friends remember him as a man with a bright future; he was married, recently purchased a home and was planning to start his own business.
