Police search for two men in connection with Waukegan armed robbery

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are searching for two men in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at a Red Roof Inn in Waukegan, officials said.

Two suspects allegedly entered the business, located at 3031 Belvidere Rd., around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The taller suspect, who was allegedly armed with a handgun, forced an employee to open the cash register. The suspects then fled the area in a white SUV, officials said.

The victim described the suspects as two black males who were both wearing masks during the incident, police said. One is described as 5-foot-8 and the other 6-foot-2.
