Police searching for men accused of raping 13-year-old
Police are looking for several men allegedly involved in the rape of a 13-year-old girl in a southwest Houston apartment complex.

HOUSTON -- Police are looking for several men allegedly involved in the rape of a 13-year-old girl in a southwest Houston apartment complex.

According to authorities, sexual contact happened on multiple occasions, the first of which took place in February, when the victim went for a ride with the accused men that ended at a vacant apartment where they were known to drink beer and smoke marijuana.

The victim alleges she was offered drugs in the apartment began to feel dizzy from marijuana smoke.

At that point, she says Jose Edgar Vasquez-Mejia, 20, asked the girl to come into the bedroom, where he allegedly sexually assaulted her. The statement taken from the victim outlines graphic details of the sexual assaults and she goes on to say that one by one each young man had sexual relations with her, on that day there were five different young men who took turns in the bedroom.

Charging documents allege that the incident in February was the first of many involving 19-year-old Jonathan Adonay Benitez, his twin brother Kevin and Vasquez-Mejia. One time the victim told investigators each male took turns in the backseat of a car.

The documents that outline the charges say the teen found out she was pregnant two months later and her parents accompanied her to a facility to terminate the pregnancy.

The men have not been arrested. Bond has been listed at $100,000. Anybody with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact police.
