Police seek man who tried to lure girl into truck in West Lawn

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are searching for a man who allegedly tried to lure a girl into his truck in Chicago's West Lawn neighborhood.

The girl was with her mother in the 6800-block of South Komensky Avenue around 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 when the man asked her to get into his dark red, older model Ford F-150. The mother said the pickup had a possible partial license plate of "129."

The suspect is described as a Caucasian or Hispanic man in his 40's, between 5'8" and 5'10" tall and 160-170 lbs.
