Police warn of business burglaries on North Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police have issued a community alert after thieves hit several businesses on the city's North Side.

Police said the thieves break into one business and then force their way through the wall to get into a second business. A Jet's Pizza on Harlem Avenue captured the thieves on surveillance video.

"We lucked out, they didn't, they were about two inches away from hitting a bunch of water pipes, so we lucked out on them not hitting that, because if they would have hit that, there would have been like $2,000 in damage," said Zach Stadtler, Jet's Pizza.

If you recognize anyone in the video, you're asked to call Chicago police.
