Protesters call for CPD to fire officer who fatally shot Rekia Boyd

About 100 protesters gathered outside the Chicago Police Board meeting on Thursday night to call for the firing of an officer who shot and killed an unarmed woman.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- About 100 protesters gathered outside the Chicago Police Board meeting on Thursday night to call for the firing of an officer who shot and killed an unarmed woman.

Dante Servin is under fire for shooting and killing Rekia Boyd in 2012. A judge found Servin not guilty on criminal charges in April.

On Wednesday, the Independent Police Review Board recommended the department fire Servin.
