CHICAGO (WLS) -- Transportation Security Administration officials at O'Hare International Airport are again warning passengers to be careful with what you bring through security checkpoints.
Friday night, screeners confiscated a realistic replica gun, which is actually part of a belt buckle.
Law enforcement checked it out after it was discovered. Once they figured out it was a replica, the passenger voluntarily abandoned it and proceeded to his flight.
Realistic replicas of firearms are prohibited in carry-on bags and must be packed in checked baggage.
