Chicago police sergeant injured in Washington Park crash

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago police sergeant was hurt in a crash in the city's Washington Park neighborhood.

The officer's car and another vehicle collided in the 200-block of East Garfield Boulevard shortly after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The sergeant suffered non-life threatening injuries. The other driver was not injured, but was taken into custody at the scene.

No charges had been filed as of early Thursday morning.
