3 inmates stabbed in gang fight at Cook County Jail, sheriff says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three inmates are recovering from stab wounds after a brawl broke out at the Cook County Jail.

The sheriff's department said the gang-related fight happened around 8:30 Wednesday morning in the Southwest Side facility.

The inmates were all taken to the hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
